Drag-and-Drop Products to Desired Categories

This is quite a practical technique in situation you need to sort items you have created to already existing groups or shift products from one X-Cart category to another.

Basically, all you need to do is to select needed items (you can apply filter for easier goods selection) and move them to desired category of category tree on the left.

After you will “release” the goods to definite category, you will see window occurring with suggestion for the action that should be performed. You can select first option assign products to new category at the same time keeping association with existing category. This way you can link goods to multiple categories.

Second option allows you to move goods to new category and they will be not linked to the category they are currently placed to.

Use “Assign Categories” Option

This useful option allows to link or unlink goods from the categories listed at your store. This option is available in main menu or after right-clicking on any product.

This option influence selected goods only, so before using it you need to select out necessary goods.

After you select the action you will see new window opened with checkboxes that you can check or uncheck to link chosen goods to/from categories.
